Braeburn
Originated in New Zealand, 1952
- Description: This apples rich, sweet-tart, spicy flavor is high-impact. Aromatic, juicy and crisp, this apple is very firm. Color varies from orange to red over a yellow background.
- Parentage: Uncertain, discovered as a chance seedling. Its probably parents are Lady Hamilton and Granny Smith.
- Availability: Harvested in September and early October. Available from October through July.
- Usage: Great choice for salads and baking.
