- Description: Firm, crisp flesh and a unique, tangy-tart flavor are characteristic of this apple. Snackers and bakers give the variety high marks in consumer tastings. Crisp fall nights bring on the bright pink color that gives the apple its name.
- Parentage: A cross of Golden Delicious and Lady Williams. Firm, crispy flesh and a unique, tangy-tart, sweet flavor are characteristic of this apple. A great snacking apple that has received high marks for pie making as well.
- Availability: Harvested in late October. Available from November to August.
- Usage: Great for snacking, slicing or dicing on a salad and for baking.
