Our Thermal Tech rooms control the ripening cycle so your pears arrive more evenly ripened and ready for sale.
Plus, the unique humidification process reduces moisture loss for a premium-looking piece of fruit. No one else in the business has dedicated pear-ripening rooms designed to generate repeat business for you.
These rooms have been built specifically for pears and are currently the only customized pear-ripening rooms in existence. The absolute control Blue Star has to adjust these rooms as needed throughout the season is going to lead to the consistent quality retailers need when implementing a conditioned pear program. The room technology employs better overall temperature control, increased airflow, humidifier capabilities and can measure fruit temperature vs. air temperature. In addition to the room technology, special attention has been given to packaging -- vented boxes, customized poly liners and trays are but a few examples.
