Rainier Fruit Company's Good Stewardship Program
Rainier Fruit Company is dedicated to farming using principles of good stewardship. Our primary responsibility as good stewards is to grow the finest quality fruit, using the natural resources entrusted to us, without compromising the ability of future generations to do the same. We farm in a way that shows our respect for the land, pride in our product and commitment to our community.
In adopting the Good Steward Program our goal is to do our part in addressing environmental and social concerns, such as preventing topsoil depletion and groundwater contamination, preserving wildlife habitat, improving the living and working conditions for farm workers, addressing the increasing cost of production and improving the economic and social conditions in our local communities. We hope that our business philosophy and farming practices will also offer opportunities for employees, growers, wholesalers, retailers, consumers, and policy makers to help us address these concerns and achieve these goals.
For Rainier Fruit Company, good stewardship is a continual process. It will take time to reach our goals. However, we are committed to take the next steps and to dedicate the resources to sustain the process.
